usps said someone picked up my box of discontinued periwinkle glasses last night which is untrue! i feared they were gone forever *and* that i would have to go through the song and dance of reporting mail fraud…but then they suddenly appeared where they belong. these will be fun 🪁🪁🪁

i rent a condo that’s had the same owners since 2001 and so i often get post cards from realtors that are like “look at this condo i sold” and i know they’re trying to sell their services but i read it like it’s a kid showing off their school project and I’m like “aw nice job!!” and then i SHRED IT

there are LOTS of tests in (good) candle-making. the wax used is not wasted, they all get remelted and used for prototype molds and sculpting practice.

it’s been awhile since i talked about other brands’ candles

yesterday you’s sold out the final “first!” restock. i am thinking of ways to bring back a run of tomato candles that are far less difficult to make than “nice tomato” - so anyone who got one (or two!) already should feel very special for getting in early on the Tomato Candle Stocks™

this one will be in a jar but it will be pretty cool i think, trying something new (for me) with dyes and wax. i want to allude to candy corn without literally looking like candy corn because i know a lot of people hate it

the second is a surprise. it is my first fragrance blend 🧪

i am currently testing two scents for the first fall launch: the first is a candy corn inspired jar (first vessel in the shop!). it smells like vanilla with caramel and honey but it’s very light and nice, not thick or sickeningly sweet (we are not a gourmand candle household here).
