SpaceX wants to turn its Texas launch site into a city Citing all the work the company has put into the region, employees are requesting a special election in Cameron County to incorporate a city.

SpaceX wants to incorporate Starbase, its South Texas headquarters, into an official city. This, after Cameron County denied them a variance request that would allow them to subdivide their limited residential area into more lots last month.

McAllen exhibit showcases artwork created by children seeking asylum McALLEN — A few dozen people wandered throughout Kreative Grounds Cafe Thursday, studying the displays by local artists on the walls.

A South Texas coffee shop showcased art by migrant children living in encampments across the border. One piece depicted a child’s journey through the Darién Gap, including a body he saw on the edge of a river.
