This leadership decided that the existence of the MLA takes priority over democracy and human rights.
I feel this in my bones, as I think about how long and tedious it will be to get reimbursed for #MLA25 expenses.

After traveling for 21 hours to return from the #MLA25, I arrived home. Exhausted, physically and mentally.
I hope I'll attend again in Toronto next year because boycott won't be necessary because our leadership will get it together and end their passive complicity with genocide.

Yeah, I think the big journals on Japan are likely to accept stuff like that nowadays. I met with someone from Monumenta Nipponica a few months ago and they said they're more open and actually excited to publish on popular culture.

One thing I definitely WANT to do is get a review of the recent Cambridge Companion to Manga and Anime into a peer-reviewed journal.
