“Sometimes it’s just, like, I don’t know, man” is something I want to skeet daily

A friend of mine got pulled over and harassed by ICE today. (They’re okay.) It’s another great day to give money to CLINIC.

(Or your local Catholic Charities, earmarked for the immigration/refugee office!)

Anyways, this is just a suggestion to donate to your local Catholic Charities or a specific Catholic Charities (like CC Milwaukee, the people who made the video that went viral). Not that CCUSA doesn't need the money but supporting local programs is a huge help!

When people decry Catholic Charities Houston for using money given to CCUSA, they are fundamentally misunderstanding how Catholic Charities work. (2)

ah, yes, the extremely lucrative racket of refugee resettlement. it's why all the HBS grads go into Catholic Charities rather than Wall Street when they graduate.

Caring for migrants and refugees is not optional for Catholics. Jesus calls us to care for those in need—regardless of national boundaries.

Nations have the right to protect their borders, broadly speaking. But this does not absolve the Christians within those borders from doing all they can to help migrants and refugees. And telling them, “Go home!” is not what Jesus had in mind.
