Trump does have one superpower- his capacity for lying. He managed an average of 3 per minute in his 60 Minutes interview last week.

All politicians have their faults, but electing Gavin Newsom as president in 2028 offers the best hope for America to heal after the untold damage Trump is doing.

It's starting to look like the 'better angels' of America are starting to fight back against the forces of Trumpian darkness.

Somewhere, I have photos of the rock face I suspect the monolith may have come from. I wonder if any experts have looked into it?

Wells is our most beautiful cathedral, the scissor arches are sublime. Was there last July, a sumptuous little city.

The stone seems to have been hauled from Cayton Bay, some 12 miles away. I have a theory that you can work out the exact space on the cliffs it came from!

It's such an atmospheric area to walk in. The pre-historic mounds, Willy & Duggleby Howe are mesmerising.

It's so hard to know who to believe these days.Take climate change; should we listen to thousands of specialists who have devoted their lives to researching it, or to a few venal politicians backed by the fossil fuel lobby? It's a tough one!

I don't have the skill or equipment to do it justice, but the moon is putting on an incredible show this morning in Yorkshire. So mild too, one might even think the climate is changing!

After these election results, Trump is a wounded animal. They can be exceptionally dangerous.

Travelling around the UK, this strikes me; if a town has no railway station, still more so if it used to have one, it lacks a huge part of its soul. The following are all wonderful towns, but far less so without rail : Louth, Devizes, Bakewell,
Lyme Regis, Cirencester, Peebles, Ruthin & Richmond(Y.)

I just watched the whole of the Trump 60 Minutes interview from this weekend - it's on You Tube. One clear thing emerges - the guy is totally nuts.
