In most but not all circumstances you can say “My appearances has changed” and they won’t give you any hassle.
Did that with Hong Kong officers and they said “Sure, I can tell and understand!” (But in Cantonese)
It’s the same Hong Kong that turned away a few trans people in the past.
Also the thing in the link did happen but it disproportionately target Thai and Philippines nationals where there are a large amount of trans people but can’t change their passport. They know we are going to. amp.scmp.com/news/hong-ko...

I have been to US, Australia, Mainland China and Hong Kong.
Zero issues.
They didn’t suspect any deception at all.
This is how I look like on my passport and of course a male gender marker.
Actually any reasonable administration like the previous Biden administration will ignore what’s on the passport and go by how you present.
I’ve been consistently called she by all CBP officers except once (they couldn’t see me in that instance)
Any definition of female will include a very large number of “male” TERFs want to exclude.
