But that's uh fake, to be kind, it's not how any of this works, and if you look at history it was actually the anti-trans ppl who created "gender" as an outlet for trans ppl in the first place bc studies of trans bodies were revealing that "biological sex" wasn't scientifically tenable any longer.

The entire "sex-based rights" argument is of course meant to be nonsensical, but even if taken on its face it really only applies to an absurdly literal textual reading of the law, such that "sex" somehow loses its meaning and the laws that give rights have their wording acquire new meaning too.

Tbh even that doesn't quite make sense bc the point of political lesbianism was to choose not to give men sexual or romantic attention or to define any aspect of your identity in relation to a man, in order to escape the patriarchal pressures created by such a relationship. That's my point. They can't be scabs, they didn't choose to do this work out of a lack of solidarity with other workers denied those jobs. They were ordered to, and they don't really have grounds for refusing it. It's dumb but not illegal.

It really cannot be emphasized enough that the NG in our city are mostly working-class ppl who signed up to do literally anything except police work & are now separated from their families to be puppets in a ridiculous power show by the far right. They're not the same as the radicalized Feds at all.

The real issue here is that they're using basically forced labor, subject to literal military discipline, who cannot refuse orders, instead of allocating funding for public sector jobs. Attacking the Guardsmen solves nothing.
