just a few thoughts this morning

I think it's good to remain tender and sympathetic to even the most vile and morally corrupt of people

The moment you close yourself off to their humanity is the moment you become just like them

(That's not to say that they get to escape punishment/accountability for their actions though)

simply stop being evil

I have a lot that I want to share about my conversion journey, but I want to do maybe a long post about it on ko-fi. I've wanted to create little comics about the graces I've received as well.

I've been blessed beyond measure, me and my unworthy little heart

I'm probably just over thinking it, but it's been sitting on my heart and I just thought I'd share

Jesus doesn't use any throw-away phrases. And it's obviously a very emotional statement. My assumption is that it's meant to say "forgive them, they don't understand the magnitude of the situation.... They couldn't begin to possibly comprehend the consequences of this"

I think what's beautiful, too, is that once you arrive at the crucifixion, you find Christ on the cross crying out "forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do!"

And I've been contemplating this. I've been trying to figure out what exactly was meant in saying that because--

I too would be sending God the Son to his death. What could you even say? "It's going to be ok, God"? I only know it's going to be ok because of him. It's like when a child tries to comfort their parent over something so far beyond their own comprehension.

Rereading the first few chapters of Genesis has devastated me.

"Who told you you were naked? What have you done?... Where is your brother? What have you done?"

I wished I could reach into the pages and offer God some condolences, but that's pretty ironic isn't it? I carry the same stain they did

I feel as though I'm re-reading the Bible for the first time all over again. It's strange going from Baptist to Catholic and realizing how much of what I was taught was mere speculation, already debunked heresy, or just uninformed interpretation. My eyes are open. I can see more clearly than ever.

I wanna get away from watching political stuff on YouTube, and start watching more positive and/or educational content. I like true crime and drama (guilty pleasure), but idk. Anyone have any recommendations for something more lighthearted?

I feel like it's corny to say I'm a different person, but in some ways it's true

Converting religions (especially going from one that didn't require much to one that requires a lot of its believers) certainly does that to you

I'm considering deleting X for good. This isn't a sadpost or anything, I just have really grown tired of the environment, and there are a lot of things that have left a bad taste in my mouth about the platform and my being there

that choose to obey are choosing to love you from before the moment of your conception, to your birth, your death, and beyond. And I thought that was such a beautiful image.

I was listening to a lecture by Fr. Ripperger where he spoke about angels and guardian angels. And it struck me when he spoke about the creation of guardian angels- that as soon as they are created, they are given the choice to obey God and his given assignment for their lives or to rebel. Those--
