There is nothing silly or stupid about the little soothing routines & habits that keep us focused & (relatively) regulated as we work our trauma recovery. Knitting, puzzling, fidget toys & apps-- they're not just "distraction." They literally, physically help us cope & process.

Also 50 Shades. That basically killed any fears I had about my own creativity because if *that* was apparently worth all the fuss it seemed pointless to be hesitant

I just want to say that your feelings are valid and you should vent all you need. Bottling up stuff isn't good and you've gotta have these feelings if you're going to work over/through them, so good work taking the time to feel, even if it's hard.

If you believe calling you an "AI Slop Poster" is a personal threat or insult, you may have based too much of your personality around the creation of AI Slop and maybe should treat this as a chance for introspection as opposed to an opportunity to censor people

The PSVR2 sounds like it might be what you want.
There's a bit of difficulty on first set-up (like with most things) but from what I understand, once you're up and running, it's pretty consistent.
Everyone's kinda waiting on Valve for whatever their VR project actually is.

Hmmm. Tricky.
Problem is many headsets (e.g. BSB2, MeganeX) need a lighthouse setup so if the Quest set up is a problem, you may have trouble.
The PSVR2 is a cabled headset that uses inside-out tracking so may be easier. You like sim-racing, right? A lot of the sim-racers are using that.

With the nights growing darker and the weather being kinda terrible for a few weeks while Autumn gets into gear, consider giving this a try!
You'd be surprised how much a few weeks' good sleep can help.

The Big screen Beyond 2 seems to be the darling right now.
Though you *can* use a Quest3 with a burner email account purely for SteamVR. Naturally though I respect why you might not want to even do that
