Still lamenting the passing of Nelson DeMille, I’m next diving into the Scott Brodie & Maggie Taylor series co-authored with his son @alexdemille.bsky.social. The hunt is on for a rogue Delta Force captain who fled his unit in the Afghan mountains. Book 3 due out this fall. #Booksky

Hard for me to choose!

Nightshade is immediately engaging, and an uber fast read. @michaelconnelly.bsky.social new Detective Stilwell series, set on Catalina Island, is a nice departure from his LA characters. There is reference to Ballard / Bosch cases, so stoked to see some crossover in future editions. #Booksky

I think My Friends is now my favorite Fredrik Backman book. Beautiful story and its rhythm and cadence is so mesmerizing you can’t help but slow your pace. You want to grasp every word.

So which Kristin Hannah book should I read next?

The Women was an engrossing, fast read. Covers a lot of ground in 435 pages. Would have loved another 50 pages of backstory to give the characters a tad more depth. But it’s a devastating great book that will simmer for quite some time. #booksky
