If you, like me, are trying to make sense of Trump's second inauguration I can highly recommend Wendy Brown's Nihilistic Times, seems like we are gonna have to understand nihilism to come out the other side of this collapsing system....

Starmer Appoints Chris Wormald to Head UKβs Civil Service

The problem is Starmer saying he wants βnothing less than the complete re-wiring of the British state,β is a bit like Gregg Wallace saying 'he wants nothing less than to dismantle patriarchy', he can say it but it doesn't mean he knows what it means

Elon Musk is attacking Britain. Former PMs are building ties
A London-based VC has connected Boris Johnson and the Tesla chief, who Tony Blair has praised as βan extraordinary innovatorβ
βElon Musk has been radicalised by his own platform,β said a British tech lobbyist, referring to the algorithms on X which have been feeding him a skewed and distorted view of British politics.

MPs will vote, but there is a better way to decide who has the right to die | Rafael Behr

Pity Keir Starmer got rid of Sue Gray who was going to champion such democractic processes π€

Itβs always difficult when a group of new friends meet together for the first time to get acquainted. So I'm perfectly prepared to start the ball rolling. I mean, I have absolutely no idea what we're doing here. Or what I'm doing here, or what this place is about, but I am determined to enjoy myself
