What can a baby planet teach us about the #universe? At just 8 million years old, TOI 1227b is helping scientists uncover how planets form and evolve. The discovery was led by Attila Varga, a Ph.D. student in #astrophysical sciences and technology at #RIT.

RIT plays big role in new black hole discoveries New evidence and properties of intermediate-mass black holes have been discovered with help from RIT researchers, as announced in a recent study.

RIT scientists were involved in a published paper about new evidence of intermediate-mass black holes, or black holes with masses between 100 and 100,000 times the mass of the sun.
