I read (listened to) Hyperion years ago, and while it wasn't my favorite book ever, I remember a lot of weird things from it. And it makes me think of The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell, for some reason. Also, I'm currently reading The Terror and might be for months! Sad to learn of his passing.

That's just rude. I have a lot of shorter male friends and family members, and I hate this for them.
