I can’t say I will miss him, because I didn’t know him. And he hasn’t made music in years so it’s not like we’ll never get the long lost album he was working on, or decades worth of unreleased songs (like Prince). But it was nice knowing that Ozzy existed in the world and it’s sad that he doesn’t.

So, I don’t usually get all weepy on social when celebrities die. People age and that’s part of the deal. I was sad when we lost Bowie. Ozzy was like the punk rock uncle you wish you had, full of stories that sounded too bizarre to be true. He also escorted my journey into metal and darker music.

That’s almost 2x the cost of the case for shipping, taxes and tariffs all together. Note how NONE OF THAT applied a year ago. (Free shipping notwithstanding. I’m fine paying shipping, but being gouged by Trump at the border is a little like paying for Ticketmaster fees.)

D’oh. Apparently I didn’t scroll far enough. The case has a tariff, too.

Except maybe that I am spending less money, so it’s good for my wallet. But I’m told that spending money is good for the economy so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

On a serious note, though…
A new, random $70 tariff is actively keeping me from making a 100$+ purchase for a small US business and instead spending $100 LESS for a cheaper option that is warehoused domestically. I don’t blame Moment for the charge. But there’s no good outcome here.

The $70 duties are import fees collected at customs and border patrol, aka Tariffs. They didn’t exist a year ago. If you’re still under the impression that tariffs aren’t applied to consumers, I now have literal receipts. I guess I’m not buying from Moment for the next 3.5 years. #ThanksTrump 🤬
