Here's the thing with board game publishers. Everybody aside from Hasbro and Asmodee see themselves as small potatoes. Scrappy little dudes. So I bet you my sock drawer that they are reading this as them being bullied rather than the reality which is they fucked up and they don't care.

They just don't stop. CGE posted a tone deaf whatever it was. But, now Asmodee decided it needs its own mini controversy and posted an AI generated how to for Flip 7, which according to those who read it is incomprehensible and incorrect. They took it down already.

I really forgot how satisfying it is to do these three things exactly in this order:
1) Drink a coffee.
2) Furiously type a really good text for 1 hour.
3) Drink another coffee and feel proud about your own work.

It's the kind of thing you can't from the #AI.

I have the feeling we are slowly creeping into the "find out" phase of the #AI hype.

Asim is one of the playable characters in the base game. As a junior tech worker, he lost his job and is now getting by with gig-work. But he is not giving up. He has formed a union. For more worker's rights, a 3-day work week, and less AI. ✊ ✊ ✊

@edzitron.com Just a small feedback, as I admire your work and want more people to pay you for it. I just finally subscribed to your paid NL after the call to action do so in the latest newsletter. But it was surprisingly hard to find the button to do so in the NL or the website. I nearly gave up.

A big part of social media is the Secondary Hobbies. You need mutuals who have a harmless additional interest that you will otherwise never learn about, but you kind of root for it to work for them. I hope you do enjoy the new issue. Your needlepoint looks great. I'm +1ing for you

I really dig the demo and am looking forward to the full release. But I'm really struggling with combat. Not sure at all how it works. How do I parry? (I think this should be explained better. It's quite frustrating that every enemy is just killing me. Or is this intended?)

Like I never wanna see AI slop again, it's boring before I even look at it, but I see someone's Doom engine hack-job of a bunch of stolen sprites zooming around exploding into green slime and it's like "oh hey this ain't bad, this is the shit"

Yeah, I believe those statistics can be deceiving. Often what is described as high literacy is in practice not a level where you would comfortably watch a show in English comfortable while deflating. But rather are able to pass a certain language test with high effort.
