I’d always heard it as Good/Fast/Nice, because it’s all cheap.

Being a comic writer/illustrator was THE original dream, out of art school.

Learning this in the months after graduating broke my heart- I felt denial about it for years, but everything I’ve seen since continues to bear this out. Comics is the hardest work going, for the least pay on offer 💔

I don’t know who has the rights to Captain Sternn but I would draw the hell out of a short.

With no paperwork, which begs the question, how did they know whose comic it was, unless they had the paperwork, at some point? I sent the damn thing. The only proof of who it belongs to was on the paperwork.

So, if I do 10 sketch covers (it’s happened) I’ll send 11 slips. Now, there never lost all of them when I send that many, but when one send one comic, there’s a better than fair chance I’ll get an email from the person who got the sketch cover, saying CGC contacted them saying the comic showed up

I’m don’t know why anyone trusts CGC with their comics. When I doe a sketch cover for someone, for a fee, I’ll fill out the paperwork and send the book in to be slabbed. Regularly, CGC loses the paperwork, despite my sending multiples- one in the package and one in the bag with every comic sent.

Wasn’t able to get to everything on my Whatnot stream yesterday. So, I hopped on and did these cards today.

I so love shows that quit while they’re still good, but I wish there were more What We Do In the Shadows.

Yeah. I had a handful of Toth and Bernet pages years ago but had to sell them. Unfortunately, I sold them before they went up in value. I had a Colan Captain America, too. I’ve held onto my Oksner/Wood Angel and the Ape page, though.

I wish I owned a page of John’s art. I never asked for one. Never thought to.
