Publishing a book also requires a certain amount of cognitive dissonance because you have to be your own biggest fan and hypeman, and simultaneously be extremely neutral about your book, in case people (esp family/friends) don’t like it or don’t read it.

a great resource, when i was at college i had a friend who handed out t to anyone who needed it, it's also a way to reuse it.
