I just looked it up and the term for seeing imagery in random places or things like clouds or wallpaper is pareidolia.
16.02.2025 19:47 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Itβs a special treat when that happens. Occasionally I see animals or creatures in patterns and have to immediately draw them out on paper, so I donβt forget them.
16.02.2025 14:03 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yahoo, I was so thrilled for all of the teachers who had a snow day!
14.02.2025 22:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Vision board collage with nine playing card sized collages housed in a clear trading card sleeve. The year 2025 and word for the year βpurposeβ are on the centre card. Thereβs also a plant growing up and touching each of the nine cards. The remaining eight cards each has a centralized circle and symbols representing different goals, such as a paintbrush and palette, a stack of bowls representing a fundraiser, a group representing family, math symbols representing financial acumen, three people representing community, Internet symbol representing my desire to teach online, a megaphone to represent broadcasting to different audiences, and a person walking to remind myself to go on a walk every day.
I just finished making this vision board collage that I meant to make at the beginning of the new year - better late than never! To see what itβs all about check out the alt text.

14.02.2025 21:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I just worked 10 hrs straight: arrived early to learn the ropes at a new pottery studio, taught 3 rounds of 2.5 hour sessions - 10 peeps -30 min turnover. All beginner wheel - 1 session drop in. I havenβt worked that hard in ages! It was kinda like the first day of school for everybody involved.
09.02.2025 02:07 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβll have to look those up. Art they both Bluesky?
09.02.2025 01:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Itβs saddening and maddening. As a Canadian is scary watching this unfold. I canβt imagine what itβs like for an American. In terms of Bluesky, I was never into Twitter so I guess thatβs why Iβm not sure what to do. I like seeing a grid. #οΈβ£π
08.02.2025 02:30 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Still working on both sides of social media.
I donβt know how to create content for blue sky - I donβt even know who Iβm talking to or with.
Here are a few of the tools Iβm working with at the moment.

Just started The Paris Secret. Iβm fortunate to have a friend who is a voracious reader, and Iβm trying to read through the pile she lent me. What are you reading?

06.02.2025 15:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm not sure where the word birthday came from. Maybe I meant to say Ceramic.

My friend Annette ten Cate recently had a fabulous birthday exhibition βHare Raisingβ similar to your work but different. Sheβs not on blue sky yet but you might be able to look at her website or IG.

03.02.2025 16:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A day or two later and I still feel rising anxiety. Brings me back to the beginning of the pandemic.
Thank goodness for art and other creative pursuits.
Hereβs the front of the punch needle work using the #Oxfordpunchneedle 10 and 14 with bulky wool. Location pins-ceramics and Nichrome wire.

This is the reverse side of a #punchneedle work I made that locates ancestral adobes on both side of the border.
Itβs important to see things from different viewpoints in art, and in life.
