I'm hearing it's been rubbished at Boro's end.

Det er ingen hemmelighed, at det er rigtig svært at være Wednesday-fan lige nu. Vi har desperat brug for opmuntring.
I've already boarded my longship and sharpened my axe here in Denmark, Henrik - where do you want us to board and plunder, I mean extract Danegeld, next? :-D
31.07.2025 10:59 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It hurts like a bastard, that's for sure. I've been a fan since 1992 and I can't recall being this void of pre-season enthusiasm. There's a collective depression in the fan base and apathy rules anger (for now).
EFL won't do anything. Looking at Independent Regulator to make us test case no. 1 🙏
It's a depressing time for us all, isn't it? And football was supposed to be our breather from a world out of sorts. At least some of the gallow's humour cheers me up - and (too) faint a hope that the new Independent Regulator will want to set their stall out and we've propped up as test case no. 1.
31.07.2025 07:02 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0So you should! We call it vild med vilje over here, and it'll hopefully gather pace as a movement. Directly translated 'wild on purpose' (or, better: 'Wild with a will'). Insect populations are plummeting and suburban petit bourgeois property preening definitely isn't helping. So we fight back :-)

(beggars can't be choosers etc.)
(and I agree, it's really interesting and needs good scientific heads to get involved much more - but they may be scared off by the freaks and the poisonous discourse)
16.07.2025 18:55 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I've not got access to The Economist, but did they use fertility rates by the usual definition here? In that case there may be an undetected 'delaying time of bearing children' effect that the standard fertility rate way of calculating doesn't pick up (big collective shift in first time births).

27.06.2025 12:09 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Called 'heart zones' here in Denmark; got a lot going for it (I say as someone running for city council here in Aarhus, where we don't have them yet, but should, and someone who hate people driving their kids to school nearly as much as people not getting out of ambulances' way quickly enough :-D ).

Brain needs recovery time more than the body does - and, ironically, all of the productivity is good to no one, least of all yourself, if it leads to shutdown.
😱

(or, even worse as an inhabitant of a port city, seagulls cawling on roofs close to your bedroom window at 3am)
But, most of all: Birds are brilliant :-)
Do you reckon this will lead to some of the other candidates dropping out and endorsing the top two?
12.06.2025 05:16 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0An interesting read (and I, now, sit in between the two as someone who plays games and someone running for political office), but I'm curious: How exactly do you reckon it would look if politicians did NOT treat gaming as a passing fad..?
