Was not expecting to see these bad boys at the Dollar Tree

Feels a bit prophetic but the reality is it’s always been appropriate

I’m glad at least some courts are practicing that basic level of decency. I don’t know what I was expecting but it certainly wasn’t the experience I had.

I know our court system needs to be transparent but we shouldn’t have to divulge this kind of information in front of 70 other people in a courtroom. There has to be a better way to vet biases in a jury.

The man sitting next to me asked to be removed from consideration because his father molested him for years throughout his childhood. Another woman looked deeply upset and said she hasn’t been okay since learning the court case because it was so triggering of her own experience as a victim of SA.

The defense removed me from consideration almost immediately. Why? Because I once had a friend that was raped by a grown man when this friend was just 16 years old. They asked if I would think if my friend every time an alleged victim testified and I honestly replied, “I don’t know.”
