Since Taylor’s death, I have written about the impacts of systematic violence on women and specifically Black women.

Today I invite you to read and or listen to some of those pieces and to think about women like Breonna Taylor who should still be alive today.

Breonna Taylor was murdered five years ago today in Louisville, Kentucky. She would have turned 32 this year.

Taylor’s death sparked the #SayHerName movement, and conversations about violence and brutality that women face by police and systems of incarceration.
