I want to have that same hope, but I’m just not sure I view the republicans as fragile by any measurement- they’ll accept imperfections as long as the movement of power is leaning in their direction. Half of the powerful conservative groups hate Trump and yet here we are.

It's obviously good that citizens with smartphones can create multiple records of these shootings and undercut propaganda and government lies about them. But I find it a little deranging that being an informed news consumer in 2026 requires watching what are essentially snuff videos in slow-mo.

I’ve been doing some timeline plotting for my book and it’s strange to have my life feel like there’s a year that didn’t exist, a whole calendar year lost to the unrealities of my mind.

Has anyone written up something specific on why Minneapolis has been chosen for Trumps full force siege?
Maybe not a singular thing- Is it the city’s immigration or population, its history of voting dem, Trump’s big swing state miss, or the embarrassment of watching a precinct burn in 2020?
