Indianapolis is having an indie book crawl this weekend. I went to my local shop this morning and bought Empathy Exams for someone to claim. A few people liked that so donated some money for me to buy some of my favorite books for people to go in and claim. Here’s the stack:

Favorite thing I’ve read so far this year. This chapter is on mental illness and the fear of losing your mind and gothic representations of that horror, specifically with Haunting of Hill House (show and book)

So when people think about these oligarchs transitioning from liberal to conservative politics, it’s simply because liberal politics are a failed experiment and everyone outside of newsrooms understands that.

I think it’s fine to call Elon a nazi, but I do think it’s a fairly big misunderstanding of him as a person. He believed in his own supremacy - he’ll use whatever part of culture to try to amass as much power as possible. That’s the ideology of Silicon Valley.
