This weekend I went to FL, AQS, and visited family and came home with a head cold. I wish I had a normal immune system.

Fidget mat made at the AQS quilt show in Florida.
One of the quilt guilds at the AQS quilt show had several sewing machines set up and had preped kits to make fidget mats. I had a lot of fun pitching in for their service project. I hope it goes to someone who can enjoy it in good health.

I am so glad I used the Auto Train! I went to the AQS quilt show in FL. I bought a bolt of wool batting that's been getting hard to find locally. They only had one! I hadn't planned on spending my entire budget on batting. It fills ½ of my cargo space with the seat down. No shipping fee!

What the heck, how long can it take to make three more blocks, right?
36 blocks done. Time for the next step.
Just in case you are curious, all 36 blocks were made using the original 8 FQ that I started with and I have a bunch of scraps left over.

They are so fun! I first got a few when my sister let me shop from her stash when I first started quilting. It turns out I love this new hobby and that fabric, so I searched and found more, then found more similar to go with it. Too much fun!

Today's quilting adventures started last night. I pulled out a UFO to work on this week. It was almost 2:30a before I walked away. Then, I had a class with Karen Brown this afternoon. This block took me abt 4 hrs to finish. I love how it came out.

A while ago I had a dream, that I had long since forgotten about. In the dream I was abducted and put in prison in a different country. I was able to buy my release because I had memorized my credit card number. It seemed completely ridiculous at the time.
