I totally understand the disadvantage of being outside a university system with library subscriptions etc. But did you know you can read 100 articles a month for free on JSTOR, which collects a huge number of academic journals? I discovered this recently and it's a godsend

Aside from the environmental/plagiarism issues of LLMs, I honestly think you may do your ideas a disservice by putting them into an LLM, since they are proven to distort and even totally invent references to other people's work

In Norwich a lot of side streets have their lights off between (I think) about midnight and 5am, which is very nice. I also saw recently in a local Bude newspaper that they're thinking of (or possibly going ahead with) this, but the article did not seem very approving.

Opening of first movement of BWV1, the first piece in the Bach catalogue (though not the first he wrote) shown below.
And ...
The first note is an F.
I think I need to lie down.

Agree in theory, although I imagine that if licences are introduced these will be agreed at publisher/record label level rather than at author/artist level. So authors would be forced into a position of e.g. boycotting publishers who licence work to AI companies.

and either they assume 'ordinary people' have no interest in these things too, which is unbelievably insulting to pretty much everyone,
OR (/and)
they believe any 'good' art (= already canonical) will be able to make a profit and therefore doesn't need funding, which is ignorant and wrongheaded
