Spotted this issue of Emigre magazine (Issue 29 · 1994, guest designed by The Designers Republic) in the background of an episode of Black Mirror (S7 E4).
This warped my 13-year-old brain when it came out.
Had to dig my copy out of storage. So good.

The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle was excellent. Have you read Hermann Hesse's novels: Demian and Steppenwolf? It's been years since I read them but Wind-Up gave me a similar vibe.

Whether they did or not doesn't matter, but if they say yes and launch into an enthusiastic monologue describing their process and what they love about Legos, it does.
