Total disrespect for the people he is there to serve. But the idea of service is alien to him.

This is nonsense. MPs are there to legislate, not vote on guidance. If you don’t like the law, it’s MPs job to change it. If MPs don’t like how their words are being interpreted, change the words. Don’t short circuit Parliamentary processes by getting into the business of guidance.

Sadly, I don’t think voters are. I think voters en masse are totally turned off left wing politics at the moment. I don’t blame them. We’ve got sidelined into identity ideology (race, gender etc) and not focusing on the real issue, which is class.

I remember a time when I was frustrated that no-one was really interested in politics. Around about 2006-8. How I miss those lovely days.

Not a good choice if the idea is to get him up, out of bed and off to school. Anything by Christopher Peacock would get me up and as far away as I could from the reader in no time.

Cutting off our nose to spite our face. We won’t take your talent if you won’t take back your illegal immigrants. How on earth is that a win for the UK?

Nigel Farage and Reform have consistently voted against the Employment Rights Bill which introduces key worker protections like statutory sick pay from day one and a ban on zero-hours contracts - is that a party you would want to trust with your human rights?

The weather was perfect. At first glance, it could have been a joyful community gathering in a sun-dappled Cotswolds village park, but the placards gave the game away. These pulled no punches as they criticised the policies and stances championed by the US vice-president, JD Vance, who is enjoying a country break down the road. Continue reading...
