The Splatoon games usually have a decent single player mode and there’s also the cooperative Salmon Run PvE mode if you don’t want to do PvP. Splatoon 2 is pretty cheap used ($15) if you want to try those out.

Some stores sell croissant loaves but the regular ones work just as well.
