To our minds, competition for talent is quite fierce around the Beltway, so, if the quality of our kits can give us an edge with players, in addition to the quality of our squad, coaching, morale, camaraderie, etc., it was more than worth putting in the effort with the designs…

Pre-hiatus, we qualified for the playoffs in our inaugural UPSL season but were derailed by a perplexing red card, so we have unfinished business to attend to. Cheers!
Naturally,a return from hiatus means a continuation of our collaboration with the great folks at @oliveandyork.bsky.social who produced our amazing @motorikfc.bsky.social kits over the past couple seasons.
We just completed designs for our Etoile Filante squads that our academy players will love.
In addition to @motorikfc.bsky.social returning to league play this fall, we will be launching our academy, Motorik FC Etoile Filante this spring.
We expect to start with two U10 squads in the Youth Premier Soccer League (coached by Motorik legend Robert Sefah) & expand organically from there.
OK, first up for our return to operations & social media is to share our new @motorikfc.bsky.social logo.
It’s pretty much the same as our last one, but we’ve swapped out silver for astronaut blue.
It’s a practical as well as aesthetic choice that allows us more contrasting home & away kits.
To be honest, going on hiatus with the momentum we had on the pitch (playoff qualification in our first UPSL season) was soul crushing, but we believed a return was inevitable.
To that end, we actually kept our home stadium & training facility (we let another UPSL club borrow them in the meantime).
We’ve assembled youth squads to start league play in the YPSL this spring.
We’ll also host summer senior squad tryouts this summer with the aim of UPsL (?) play this fall.
It all depends on establishing a sustainable revenue stream, which we lacked as the only UPSL DMV club without an academy.
