28.02.2026 11:28 β π 15 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I only ever visited Russia in '99 or '00, cannot be 100% sure of the year. In any case, we took a VW T3 bus to Karelia and visited the villages where some of our roots are. I mainly remember the overwhelming crappiness, from which Estonia has survived beautifully but which has gotten worse in Russia

Also,
I-Pace: Internal Combustion
E-Pace: Electric
GS: Manual
GSA: Automatic
I will not be taking questions
Every time I see a GSA from this angle I think "Huh, someone put a big hatch on the CX"

25.02.2026 12:54 β π 25 π 3 π¬ 0 π 1Thing is, this isn't a Colt, but a Galant! The UK importer (Colt Car Company) relied on the Colt brand so heavily they didn't use the Mitsubishi name on the cars for the first ten years, but called everything a Colt from the Sigma to the Sapporo. The actual Colt was just the Colt 1400.

Ex heritage fleet Galant. Isnβt this from the era when it was sold under the Colt badge, instead of Mitsubishi, hence βColt Galantβ?

21.02.2026 16:25 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβve been wondering with the Corolla, whether I should subject a 25 year old reasonably nice and reasonably rare car (in 4WD guise) to daily year round wear and tear and road salt, especially since my new job requires me to drive more. But Iβve cooked up a solution to that already.

21.02.2026 10:03 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I often think cars are too good for our roads and conditions. Then again, sitting in wet grass does them no good either.

21.02.2026 09:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Absolutely, the βgamificationβ of EV driving comes from trying to hypermile the things. I donβt think my e-2008 is bad to drive, far from it, but driving the Hyundais was mostly about trying to make my commute with as low consumption as possible.

Sadly I couldnβt take it to a test drive as the 12v battery wasnβt in good enough shape to start it. Later it also turned out that the cabin fan doesnβt work. Windshield is also cracked.
Iβm unlikely to bid on this car (705 eur now), but with good tires and service records it was otherwise fine.
Been with the same family since new, this 320tkm 2008 Passat is a 1.9 TDI LuxLine, meaning it has the 105PS turbodiesel and decent spec.
Some of the door corners were rusty, as well as a scraped wheelarch, but it also had peeling clearcoat in places.
Hey, fans of Rostiga Passat B6/B7! I went to see a good example today. Nice bubbling going on with the doors and hatch.
