in a stunning reversal from my vegetarian brunch: sunday sauce with lamb, beef shank, chicken thigh, italian sausage, and ribs, all over some pasta

On a plate are two eggs Benedict. Atop two store-bought English muffins are sautéed oyster mushrooms sautéed with togarashi, poached eggs with sancho pepper sprinkled on top, hollandaise sauce, and wasabi microgreens.

The peppers give this a nice citrusy kick along with the yuzu in the sauce to cut through the heavy presence of butter.

Eggs in purgatory (uova in purgatorio). Four poached eggs sit in a tomato sauce, with bell pepper and onion mixed in. Torn basil is sprinkled across the top for visual and flavor contrast, and is paired with sliced ciabatta.

Sitting on a glass stovetop is a roasting pan with charred broccoli florets; a Dutch oven with soup including broccoli, onion, carrot, potato, and milk; and a mixing bowl with American, sharp cheddar, and grated pecorino romano cheese. This will be a fine broccoli and cheese soup, hopefully.
