I love the notion that we are human becoming (rather than beings, which are static and unchanging and only now), so my ~fortnightly newsletter is now 🌿 The Thought Garden 🌿 which is a more accurate way to describe the open, genuine, expressive way I write now 🥹

How do you create the atmosphere which enables students to do this?

‘Independent paddler’ - this phrase never quite works for me.

What if we instead used ‘independent thinker’?

Encouraging students to use their current knowledge, ask questions, be part of the decision making process prior, on and off the water.

In the UK, winter is now hurtling towards us, our days are consequently shorter. It’s such a fab time to rest, recuperate & reflect.

Reflective practise has been crucial to my development as a coach practitioner in 2024. Love these two quotes from two very different disciplines. Admittedly feels slightly odd that this is my first post on this platform - currently I have one follower who is @skillacqlascu.bsky.social !
