Something I find scary is how easy it is (with habit) to NOT be me. To pass as normal, to the point of (almost) casting off my real self. I hate how easy it is to sacrifice, relinquish, exhaustedly give up on queerness...all because it is frankly easier to live. Easier -- and emptier. Pointless.

My job takes me away from friends for about half the year. I'm back at work now, but this summer was life changing.
