She's practically saying, 'There's no scientific proof, and I have doubts, and we don't know what's good, therefore we should ignore children when they tell us what they need & ignore them when they show us how they feel.' Just finished Heartbreak High Season 2. I love the characters, their honesty, awareness of each other's emotions, flaws and personal growth. (And great swearing 😉.)

Though I have to say, the depiction of the autistic character is prompting me to rethink how I much I mask socially, at work 🤔

Today in small wins; I love a good plumber. Our wobbly kitchen sink tap no longer spurts water in all directions. We're no longer at risk of falling off a super loose toilet seat 😬
The bath tap is no longer leaky. Now, he's on the roof checking gutters. Came for 1 thing, checked & fixed everything 😄

I'm trying to do more of this in fiction, though with my personal autistic preference being; "I'll hug you on special occasions and otherwise affection is in words, facial expressions or other gestures" -its a challenge!

What I wouldn't give to take money out of politics. Seems the best way to stop both major parties burning the planet with their fossil fuel addiction, or caving to Israel and the US, or prioritising property developers over homelessness, or being addicted to gambling revenue or... 😒

I suspect he's worked on this property since before our land lady owned it. He had to redesign the roof gutters so they didn't flood the backyard, and likes to check that they still work well whenever he's on the property. My only concern is he's surely due to retire 😅

For Melbourne, it was always Spring when we got the heaviest rain, before the hot weather started. But given climate change, I wouldn't be surprised if we now have monsoons impacting our weather this far south. Black cockatoos and even geckos having moved down here seems to confirm it.

Having only realised I could vote in Brexit because someone knocked on my door and asked if I wanted to register (when I lived in the UK, 2014-2016), this is definitely something the UK needs to advertise.

I had no idea that being a Commonwealth citizen resident in England entitled me to vote.

Meanwhile in Australia the Spring rains have finally come. (Its Autumn here.) I guess no one knows what's truly happening with the weather.

In case this is my first post you've read; I'm a fantasy author, and its not uncommon for my sleeping brain to dream up fantasy worlds for me to explore, with people who don't exist in the real world. Some of them even get referenced in my book. ('Tarlah' in Ruarnon Trilogy was originally a dream 😉)

This is not the first time I've dreamt myself into a fantasy world with its own norms/ rules. In this case the creature had a name, & we knew it flies around & periodically gives people an oesophagus like squeeze to check in with us, then moves on, and was harmless & we were cool with it. Bizarre!

Just encountered a bizarre creature in a dream. I was descending a mountain in company.

We froze as an invisible presence floated towards us. Soft, warm, continuous, snake-like muscle squeezed our legs & torsos
People laughed or groaned. It floated on, we smiled & continued our descent
