Wow what a cool place to set up and ramble about whatever I'm reading/playing/watching at the moment. He/him.

Drawing of Nadia, a gothy woman with hair over one eye and a great big puffy ponytail. She is standing in front of a great, dead-looking oak with gnarled roots, reaching out with a trembling hand. An unknown figure reaches a pale hand out from a hole in the oak, unseen except for the lights of their eyes and long strands of dark hair. It is unclear whether it simply beckoning, seeking an offering, or some other motive.

Now that the best month of the year has arrived, I figured I might as well get a little more of that spooky Nadia goodness. Seemed right for the season.

#Superman

Cheesy, schmaltzy, silly, and filled with over the top comic book silliness

I love it so much

the ones it did have were great. Ran the range from sudden and shocking to some pretty gnarly splatterhouse deaths. Pretty funny at times too, tongue in cheek without being ridiculous. Death has a sense of humor. Also the Tony Todd scene was genuinely heartfelt and made me tear up.

I reeeeallly liked the new #FinalDestination movie. Has probably the best cast in the entire franchise, though that's not a high bar since it isn't exactly known for its stellar character work. Outside of the initial catastrophe I don't think it had as many kills as previous installments but-

Dunno if you've seen it yet or not, but I think you'd enjoy the Dungeon Meshi/Delicious In Dungeon anime

Come and read #KillSixBillionDemons! It's got a wonderful cast of characters, such as:

-Nightmare David Bowie
-The angriest man in the multiverse
-Insane Clown Posse
-A demonic fanfic writer
-6 Juggernaut Star Scours the Universe
-Allison

distinct beginning/middle/end. I laughed a few times. I enjoyed the robot designs. It doesn't feel like I wasted my time watching it, but it didn't wow me either. I couldn't recommend it if there's anything better on, and there probably is, but I'm not gonna stick my noise up in the air towards it.

Despite the reviews, I don't think #TheElectricState was that bad. Like it wasn't great, but I don't think it's worth the thrashing it's getting. Just kind of a nothing burger, a solid three out of five stars. It's a functional movie, with a consistent theme, kind of entertaining characters, and a-

Power scalers are ridiculous in general. The vs battle wiki unironically says that Cream the Rabbit, six year old girl whose biggest challenge most of the time is baking a cake, ranks stronger than Nova, intergalactic superhero that can blow up a fleet of space ships by pointing at them.

horror at points, but it comes off as pretty optimistic despite all that. Reads like a Discovery channel documentary and it's pretty short, so I'd absolutely recommend it.

I'd heard about #AllTomorrows before but never got around to actually checking it out, and wow I'm impressed. Fun look at speculative evolution over hundreds of millions of years with a gripping narrative. It's also somewhat infamous for how horrifying the antagonists are, putting it at borderline-

I prefer more "sharper" horror comedy like Ready Or Not, but this is still very good in its own right. The Monkey's very irreverent, and was like if Final Destination was both much sillier and had an actual message it was trying to say. A tightrope, to be sure, but one that it manages to land well.

Also I can hear @deadmeatjames.bsky.social sobbing as he watches The Monkey and realizing the absolute nightmare it's going to be to tally up that Kill Count

So #TheMonkey was certainly an odd movie, but not a bad one. Had an offbeat sense of humor that ran the gamut between deadpan snark and utterly ridiculous. Story took a bit to pick up and I wish it emphasized its theme a bit harder during the middle, but if definitely say it's worth watching

Just binged the entirety of #jentrychauvstheunderworld. Much more intensive character drama than I expected, but in a good way - the conflicts were nuanced and complex without being melodramatic. Love seeing stuff that draws on Chinese folklore, especially when it's made by someone who grew up-

engaging way. IDW still continues to be great, and this is just a fun look into the characters themselves, and I love how it manages to show us character interactions we'd never be able to see in the games. The character dynamics are one of the highlights overall IMO and I'm looking forward to more.

Got through Sonic #76 and rather enjoyed it. It very much is a sort of wind-down from the Phantom Riders arc and setting up a new status quo, pushing the comic in the direction it'll probably be heading for the next leg of the journey. I'm a big fan of the scene-sequel structure and this really-

On one hand, I'm very happy to be caught up with IDW Sonic now. Fantastic comic, and I'm genuinely looking forward to what's coming next.

On the other hand, now I'm all caught up and don't have a cozy backlog to look forward to reading now. Time for the starvation to start setting in...

The book's also very good, but it's tougher to get through - very dry sort of humor, though it's really witty and sarcastic. Also it's like, 300k words, which ends up at around 1200 pages.

Finished Creature Commandos today, really enjoyed it. Gunn's wise enough to focus on the characters, and he's really good at misfit outcasts, though there were points where I think it was a bit heavy on the flashbacks at times. Could have used another episode to let the plot breathe more.

The Castle of Otranto, by Horace Walpole. Written in 1764, it pretty much created gothic horror as we know it. It's an incredibly foundational work, and pretty much everything on your list here was influenced by it in one way or another.
