AT4W - Title Card - August 2025

This was fun to make. The jokers were based on TAS, Killing Joke, and Frank Miller ASBAR.

What it was not planned, is to actually be accurate to the Three Jokers, The Clown, Comedian, and Criminal; being very fitting.

And the Harley Quinn design is from The Batman.

Another lesson I learned from this was to make sure not to look static for too long, which led to the characters have small movements and expressions; many of these were in the storyboards, but others were improvised to fill a gap. When I showed it to Michael (Creator/Director), he liked it.

Also, the walking shot originally lasted the entire read of the pamphlet, but I mentioned it was too long and another shot needed to be added, so I made quick drawings on when the shot will change and how it would go (being a close up shot) and it was approved to change it.

The first scene I've worked on was the most I've experimented to try to get a scene done. I've learned a lot in it, one lesson being to avoid over-thinking in some elements because that led to the file to become too heavy, which later I had to manually separate in 3 parts, this one being part one.

And also try to tell an overall story. I couldn't do either, but at least I tried and was interested enough to Learn how to Animate overall.

I suddenly remembered Neenja, even though the first one is short, it has good animation and it can be funny and mysterious. These Neenja animation really inspired me to try flash animation.

I was never able to see the ending of that show when it was airing; and I don't even know if it had an ending in the first place. xD

Mouse Shake

Ooh, that's such a great pull from your pack! It's the Wasabi Magician Girl!

(OOC: This was a fun pic where I went all out - hopefully next week we can get back to pixel art and more general stuff :))

I struggled on this one because I was over-thinking with the design, so I went with a simpler fusion.

I got a Turtonator and a Wimpod. I got nothing when it comes to a name for the fusion. But is based on steam power.

I wish I still had it, but this design was actually a Photoshop Homework over a decade ago; I took the image of a person doing a back-flip and I gave him a kangaroo tail, a snake head, and on the back wings of a hummingbird... as you can tell I found Dragon Wings easier to draw when I drew Shou. xD

The original comic didn't go anywhere (tone inconsistencies due to lack of writing), but I am still interested to start that over someday.

His name is Shou. Although I don't think that name fits anymore, I need to think about it.

I dunno if making a Pokémon Fusion every week is a good idea since I'm not good at maintaining habits, but so far I am happy with the results.

I got an Exploud and a Gholdengo. Maybe calling it Ghongloud.

I did feel I managed to improve with each scene I've worked on, to the point the animation sketch looked pretty clean at the end.

A fun fact, there was a previous version of the Pilot that we never got to finish, but you can see some of the scenes I've worked on here: youtu.be/KgHeQSs77FM

It was the first time I've worked on a project like this, and you can probably tell in this video.

It led to better results later though.
