Hi! I'd focus on the core conflict & stakes first. Name the big problem & what happens if the MC fails. Intro MC & their goal. Who are they? What do they want? Tease major plot points. Hint at obstacles & rising action. Aim for concise with a hooky opening. Makes your story stand out.

D14: I've revised my synopsis, query letter, and outline for my story The Anger You Hold. And now I'm moving on to chapter by chapter revisions with the hopes of having it query ready by the end of the summer. I'm giving myself lots of time!🥰

There is almost always a touch of fantasy in everything I write, but I have attempted a couple contemporary romances. Only Young Adult for me.

Bonus: I honestly don't know which I am... I plot, I write by the seat of my pants... it all depends on my mood and the story.

D11: Romance. ❤️ I can't resist adding a love story to almost every manuscript I've written. Though... you may also find a Red Ford Mustang in every one of my stories too. 😜 (a nod to my dad who was a total car guy)

D10: Heartache. Working on a WIP where the MC’s mom dies, I was still grieving my dad, who had passed from cancer a year earlier. It felt like reliving that pain, but in doing so, I found release.

Current project centers on suicide, which resonates deeply with me on a personal level. #CRPGlasswings

#2 is TRUE! Charlie gets a chance to choose a weapon from a magic book... but each one cost a number of years off her life if she wins the tournament... if she loses, those extra years will be spent in the darkest part of hell. ☠️ Fun, right? 😉

Losing myself in a character. Especially the smooth confident charm, thinks-he's-the smartest person in the room & fancies himself a witty villain even if he's a chaotic mess.😂

Hardest: deciding when a manuscript is done / ready to query. 😜 Feels like never.

I'm guessing... #2 is the lie: Short healers are the most sought after.

As a shorty myself (5' 3") I would love to think it's true... cause the shorter a person the more fierce they have to be to stand out... but... #3 is too cool not to be true!🔥

D8: Activity: I'm getting there with revisions. The updated synopsis is complete, and I'm now working on aligning my outline to reflect those changes. Hoping to finish it by Friday so I can really dive into manuscript revisions on Saturday.👍

I can totally relate! This happens to me all the time.... except my kitty is orange.
