When we asked the Edutopia community what topics they want to see the research behind, βwork refusalβ was the top response.
Here, we lay out studies exploring this topic and some strategies that educators find helpful. π

Six of us from work wrapping up another Masters degree together this evening. It is such a blessing to be surrounded by these folks.

'What Did the Blackbird Say to the Crow' is finally here! 20 years of living went into this one, and I'm very proud of it. So glad Justin Robinson could join me, and that we got to showcase where it all began: North Carolina.

Same here. My experience has driven me deeper and more impactfully back into my classroom practice and colleague support activities.

Great meeting with my other PLC tonight. I love working with this excited bunch of Chinese educators. I love their passion for advancing student thinking and creativity at their school.

Yikes. Going through HS focus groups right now and one group of student's "one word to describe school" are back-to-back: Involved, Stressful, Invasive. π©
"Stressful because you're measured in grades. And you always have to be here...then you're always thinking about being here."
Does anybody have a good example of a school-based (as opposed to a classroom-based) policy or system to support students in completing assignments on time?
A classroom-based would be like a late work contract, but school-based would be like an intervention system triggered by missing assignments.
Very good question. Curious if there's a culturally/socioeconomically diverse school that's having success with prompt completion of learning tasks. This year has been a train wreck for my crew in this regard. Anybody working where the magic is happening? Please share.
