This. And the “people don’t know” argument is a veil. A minority didn’t know. Maybe even half didn’t know. But if we played again tomorrow the boos would be there. It’s on us to challenge it. It’s such a small ask, there’s no legitimate battle to be fought on it. #lufc

I thought we were going down after that. We had hammerings at Arsenal but I still reflect on Brighton as our worst performance. Combination of formation change, belief and a few key players growing into the league.

What an absolutely stonking point that it. No right to go to 3rd in the league and pick something up but Farke and this brilliant side are given us a season to remember. So rare to get to be a happy football fan. Savour it #lufc

Brighton still have to come to Elland Road so in reality we’re above them #lufc

West Ham more or less need to double our points tally over the remaining games if they’re to stay up. #lufc

That 4-1 in 2011 was class. Remember feeling just as pressured. The sending off was right in front of me and the crowd reaction was the thing that got the red.

Then I think of Sunderland and Blades games last season. And the fact that we’re good. And it’s Elland Road.

3-1 Leeds.

These deadline deals are always a bit daft. Regardless, I can’t help thinking that we need to stay clear now unless wolves pick up the phone to us. If they sweated Palace that hard for £48m, our £40m won’t get it done in this window.

Harry Gray’s goal was quite good. That’s it, that’s all I’ve got

Palace agreed a deal for Guessand from Villa earlier today and it’s now being reported they’re walking away from Strand Larsen #lufc

I went to anfield and sat in the new main stand a few years ago, and overwhelmingly felt that was the right direction for ER. Two years later we pop up with plans for basically the same stand, so I’m happy with where we’re heading.

It holds the noise well, I’ll give it that, but it mostly seems built to solve the corporate problem, and I’m sure it solves it well. I can’t say many of the things I look for as a fan were improved there and was a bit underwhelmed by facilities in the stand.

Went to Everton last night. Modern, pretty, but it’s a concrete bowl. It’s a 2025 Riverside, Pride Park, SoL. Queues at the loos, bar, getting in, getting out. More space (in and out) and more food vans than the average ground. I’m glad we’re expanding as it secures ER from bad decisions. #lufc

Just me that seems to think we’ve every chance of a result tomorrow. I’m not saying I expect it, necessarily, but it’s probably a 50/50 game. Easy to forget that we’re quite good #lufc

It’s either a motel AC unit or a compact CD player

I agree. I think people have lost track of the transfer market and see the fee the way they would’ve viewed it 7/8 years ago. It’s the level of competition and depth that starts to properly pull us out of the bottom 5 pile.

I hear ya and I do like correctly shaped pegs. I’d probably rather we had some more quality to support DCL in the 2 up front, but I’m not complaining if we do Schmid.

This makes sense and I quite hope it’s true. I’d like a pressing striker and defensive cover and given budgets etc, feels like either/or #lufc

I’d really like to a LB who can cover CB or vice versa. Don’t trust Bornauw’s injury record and agree, a Gudmundson injury hurts us. I’d like a pressing striker to play alongside DCL.

With 3-5-2 becoming so effective and he wasn’t the preferred choice when we did play wingers, I can’t see where his minutes come from. For whatever reason, he never seems to be Farke’s choice

18.01.2026 19:16 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

Buonanotte is a proper 10 but outside of that it’s a bit makeshift. But between Buonanotte, Aaronson, Gnonto, Okafor, and Piroe, we’ve got a lot who can fill the role and will get fewer minutes.

18.01.2026 19:13 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

I’m not complaining but it seems a funny deal unless they really think he elevates us above the options we have. It’s not a quantity issue in that position, so they must think he adds quality

18.01.2026 19:06 — 👍 2    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

Feels like Gnonto’s path to minutes gets narrower by the day. In fairness to him, it’s time to let him move on. #lufc

Unless there are mitigating circumstances, can’t agree with Darlow coming in. Only do that if we’re signing another No1 in this window, otherwise protect Perri. Darlow is a good backup, he should not be our no1 #lufc

I don’t care about the the FA cup this season (sorry) but I do want us to keep momentum. Rest those managing injuries and fitness, otherwise play the first team. 3-4 changes at most please. #lufc
