The Government has confirmed a 7% increase to the Minimum Income Guarantee from April 2026 - the amount working-age adults receiving #SocialCare must be left with after care costs.

Last week, CQC published its latest Monitoring the Mental Health Act report, drawing on conversations with people subject to the Act and reviews of registered mental health services. The message is clear: the system remains under intense strain. Here are some of the key findings: • Rising demand means people are becoming more unwell before assessment, particularly those living in deprivation. • Out-of-area placements continue to increase, with 5,649 starting in 2024/25 (up 5%), leaving many people far from home. • Race equality gaps...
