Labour seem to think that being arrogant and dismissive is what will win over a public that believe them to be arrogant and dismissive.

Turns out lowering bills, protecting the NHS and rebuilding our public services is really popular.

This is just the beginning - people are seeing through the attacks and demanding something better.

And we're making hope normal again - together.

Allowing British bases to be used in an illegal war of aggression is a catastrophic and historic mistake.

Britain has been dragged into another war because our Prime Minister would rather appease Donald Trump than stand up for international law.

Labour is backing a tyrant who is triggering a global crisis through illegal acts of aggression at the same time that it makes cruel, vindictive and morally disgusting changes to the framework through which people seek protection in the UK. Never again can there be a progressive case for Labour.

Refugee status becomes temporary in asylum shake-up Adults and accompanied children claiming asylum will only receive refugee status for 30 months under the changes.

So in the week that they lost a safe seat to @greenparty.org.uk the brains trust @labouruk.bsky.social decide to reintroduce hostile environments for asylum seekers. Not to mention backing a war which may create a need to offer refuge to those caught up in it. 😳

Warning UK at risk of being pulled into illegal war

Warning UK at risk of being pulled into illegal war

Why is Keir Starmer utterly incapable of saying no to Donald Trump?

Our national security requires us not to be dragged into illegal wars.

The Prime Minister is making us less safe. Did we learn nothing from Iraq?

I have enjoyed our exchange of letters about which of our parties is best placed to stop Reform. Hannah Spencer MP and I trust that you agree that this question has now been resolved once and for all.

No surprises, surely?

Candidate is arrogant charmless TV presenter & hates everything: lose.

Campaign is entitled technocracy + smearing left-liberalism: lose.

Candidate is local & can make OK speech about how a good job should lead to a good life: win.

Normal politics is trying to be born.

Stunning and historic result in the Gordon and Denton parliamentary by-election in the UK.

The anti-genocide Green Party led by Zack Polanski has won the seat from Keir Starmer's governing Labour Party.

Nigel Farage's Reform UK and its odious candidate Matt Goodwin beaten.

So just as a final word on this by election before polls close:

No matter what the result, Gorton and Denton is supposed to be in a category of safe seat that should essentially render it uncompetitive. The fact that it isn't is a damning indictment of Labour's time in office.

Β£55 every 2 weeks.

So as a later in life mum, it’s still a struggle.

If we really want to encourage people to start families, maybe we need to fix our parental leave laws.

I doubt Reform UK want that though do they?

I’ve now experienced first hand how little support there is for working parents, especially if you’re self employed.

If you’re employed dads receive 2 weeks paternity leave which is ridiculous in itself but if you’re self employed, nothing.

As for self-employed mums, I’ve only been entitled to
