Drawing that hat almost killed me i have no idea how you do that

he is PERFECT im obsessed!!!! i love the juxtaposition of the softness of your style (and him!) and the starkness of the tattoo in particular, it's just SO GOOD

i'm gonna get to #KeepingTimeOneYear so late fhdgfgf so for now i humbly offer one (1) serene denver until i can get to the themes lol

I don't have any special art for it, but today marks one year since my webcomic, #KeepingTime, went live to the public. It's been a year of making mistakes and learning on the fly, but most of all, it's a year that's been so, so fulfilling.

Comic page: Denver enters a bar. He’s dressed in 16th century fashion, a hat in his hands, a cape on his shoulders. He sees a man (Daniel) singing and playing the lute on a little stage at the back of the bar. He goes to sit at the bar, still looking at the man who performs. The man on the stage gets off the stage after his song under people clapping. He sits next to Denver at the bar, asking for a drink by lifting his hand up. Denver goes to him and asks: « Excuse me… ».

Comic page: Denver is looking shy, a hand in his hair, looking away, he asks Daniel: « Could you show me how to play? » Daniel looks at him, amused and replies: « Hum… sure! ». The last panel shows them sitting on chairs, Denver with the lute and Daniel showing him how to place his fingers on the strings. Denver is looking at him with a little blush on his cheeks while Daniel is oblivious of his effect on him.
