I think I need to chill on the VRchat...

I've been losing sleep over it, and I have goals I'm aiming for.

But I get it now.

It's really fun when you find the right crowd.

It's either government tech support, or I go full gym bro and become a firefighter at much lower pay.

But something has to change.

I think I'm going to try and aim for a government job.

Late stage capitalism in the private sector is truly terrible.

Even if you do everything right, nothing protects you from shareholders wanting a bigger cut.

Pay is terrible too.

Maybe I can be tech support for my state.

This isn't a good place to vent, but my options are slim.

No one I can rely on, and I've held back these depressing posts for 2 years.

Just need to let a little of this out so I can stop hyper-focusing on it.

All I can do is keep trying my best I guess.

Life has been difficult since my Mom passed away.

It's not like she didn't teach me to take care of myself.

I was 27 when she passed, finished with college and starting a new job.

Others have been far less fortunate than me.

But I miss her wisdom and advice, everything is harder now.

I can't possibly count how many times I've seen my buddy art style looks like A Hat in Time.
Truth is... Of course! Hat in Time was fantastic! I loved it! Buddies are almost fan art. At least at the start.

Tried sashimi and sushi for the first time.

Every moment until now has been wasted not eating sashimi and sushi.

It is possibly the best thing I've ever tasted.

I actually did! I met a handful of nice people.

They even helped me get the Boothill avatar I was using set up a bit better. (He kept going on his tippy toes because my height was set too low.)

I'm starting to see some of the charm.

I think I'm too old to understand VR Chat.

I get the appeal of the avatars, but I don't really understand wanting to listen to teenagers screech memes/racial slurs.

The VR fishing worlds are pretty cool though.

Everywhere else it's just difficult to talk.

If you like FFT at all I highly recommend Final Fantasy Tactics Battleground.

It's a 4v4 AI match where viewers get to submit units and fight each other on Twitch.

It's my favorite run in the background when working stream.

Very fun community too.

There's a lot of other very important lessons in Dune, but I felt this one in particular was the most practical and easily applied, lol.

Oddly enough, during the early portion of Dune, where they discuss the importance of training whether you *feel like it* or not has stuck with me.

I wish I had been a more avid reader growing up.

I didn't know what the modern rustic style was until uh... 2 days ago.

But my sister is teaching me how to make a home look nice, and also match my interests and personality.

I will learn!

I have a strange goal list at the moment.

It's to be capable of easily jogging 3 miles and to get furniture to make my apartment into the modern rustic style.

There is nothing wrong with the broke college kid style, but it's no longer for me!

I want furniture that elicits joy!

It's a little different, but I've gotten kidney stones before, and the pain was excruciating, and I wish it upon almost no one.
