It happens here quite a bit in the fall and winter here. It's that time of the year too.

I've been reading "I Cheerfully Refuse" by Leif Enger, and even though it is somewhat parallel to our world, I still enjoy spending time with individuals, even though everything is burning around us. I know I don't reach out often, but I still think about all our con adventures over the years.

I also found out last night what's going on with my hip from the MRI I had Thursday:

"There is suspicion for right acetabular labral tear in the upper outer aspect. Cam morphology could predispose to impingement."

At least I have an idea what is going on now. Now to wait for doc follow up.

Finished the hackathon today with my team. We ended up not placing. It's kinda hard to know what you did wrong when you aren't given feedback. Time for a big drink.

It's all done for now. I can relax on my vacation this weekend.

These past 2 weeks have been cramming a bunch of writing. I finished a 20 page review on current payment systems, and I have to do another 10+ pages in two weeks again 😫. I don't know how this prof expects us to read all these chapters, other assigned readings, AND have this paper done.

I swear this one manager looks at my calendar and sees when I have PTO to then send the day before a slew of emails and tickets. It's every time. This is not a coincidence. It's literally every time I go on PTO. I'm not doing all this anymore because even when I complete all these, no responses.

I did find someone in your area that may be able to help. If they think you need to reach out to another person, they would know how to do so. It's going to be okay. You'll make it out of this.

I had my first session with my dietitian yesterday. Very long appointment. All that went into my head was "protein". Lol
