Gibson Les Paul Modern guitar in Fuchsia.

I've stuck it back in the case with some silica desiccant because it's been in the cold for a while and it's warm in here.

The colour isn't quite as bright as the promo shots showed. In fact it's very close to the colour of my Gibson Les Paul Modern so I'm not complaining.

My Epiphone Candy Red Les Paul Modern has arrived and, on initial inspection, appears to have made it in one piece.

It's a lovely instrument. I've not plugged it in yet but it feels like my actual Gibson Les Paul Modern in hand and the nickel hardware looks sweet on that candy red body.

Growing up in the 80s in the UK was amazing.

I loved weekends when I would walk to the local library so that I could spend the day reading and learning stuff.

On the way I would pop into the news agent and grab that week's comics and a copy of Look-In.

Great times.

Planning my trip to Japan and struggling to find something interesting to do in Tokyo during the day on Wednesday 11th March. I think this is the last day I need to fill.

Finally found time to play Resident Evil: Requiem and I'm loving it.

Sadly it's been released at a bad time for me. Too much going on to really enjoy it. But I'm squeezing it in when I get the chance.

So far, it feels like classic RE and it plays really well on my PC.

I wish we still had music shops in the UK like this awesome Zemaitis shop in Osaka. The people were so friendly, let me play some guitars (badly) and made me feel very welcome.

At that time I was really enjoying bands like The Dogs D'amour and The Quireboys.

During my early teens, when my musical taste was in flux, I found a cassette copy of Rust In Peace by Megadeth in a public park.

I assumed somebody had dropped it and since nobody was around to claim it I popped it into my Walkman and pressed play.

I'm one of those weirdos that has a strange taste in music.

I loved glam rock in the 80s, thrash and goth in the 90s, indie and metal in the naughties, classical all the time and bits of other stuff throughout.

It seems the Band-Maid show in London later this year has had to be moved to increase capacity.

From the O2 Academy in Islington to Electric Brixton.

That's nearly doubling the capacity after tickets sold out in the first few days.
