Nothing quite says it’s time to go to bed like coming back from a break only to find out half of the embroidery pattern you’ve spent the last hour tracing onto your fabric is off-center just enough that you can’t fix it while sewing and have to start over again 🤦‍♀️

Don’t get me wrong, I *love* what I do, but sometimes it’s nice to be in a role that doesn’t require as much responsibility and creative direction.

Haven’t been this excited to start a new project for fun that has nothing to do with video or production in ages.

But also I have the brain power to tackle a big project thanks to having the week off and being scheduled on lights for the next 3 productions…

Did I spend $45 on embroidery supplies today because I always black out when looking at different colored flosses?

Which, to be fair, similar happened last week after I was asked to come in because it’s summer and people are busy this time of year.

But it also wouldn’t be the first time we’ve played musical chairs either if I get asked to switch again on Sunday 😂

I was originally scheduled to be on a camera, then was asked to fill in on lights. I went in early to look over lights today and was told they have someone for lights tonight so I’d be on a camera again. Halfway through looking over lights, I was asked to swap places and be producer tonight 😅

Told one of the leads tonight that if I get asked to change roles one more time this week/weekend I’m going to start playing musical chairs with everyone on tech 😂

I know it’s silly to be so excited about something this trivial, but I’ve been living with awful internet for so long now. It’s kept me from doing so many things and thrown a wrench in many other things.

I am always *so* exhausted after appointments like that! Hydrate and treat yourself to some rest so your body can recover from it all ♥️

For being down to only two camera people, one of which was on b-roll, not having a run through prior to the show to plan my cuts, and a generally chaotic evening of everything being finalized & fixed at the last second, I think it actually turned out really well. Excited to see how it turns out.

I don’t think I’ve ran as much during a shift as I did tonight since I was at Zeldathon 😅

Should’ve worn my watch and tracked all those steps lol
