Three of my favourite films:
The Innocents, published as The Turn Of The Screw, Collier’s Magazine, 1898
Went The Day Well, published as The Lieutenant Died Last, Collier’s Magazine, 1941
Invasion of the Body Snatchers, published Collier’s Magazine, 1954
Can we bring back Collier’s Magazine?

I often see the takes of “how sociopathic & ruthless the left are” and honestly I would imagine “they” are just so very tired of pointing out these are the consequences of 20 years of hyper conservative performance heading towards this inevitable conclusion.

If Reform and the Tories are mistaking Twitter engagement for what people in the UK actually think, long may it continue.

What is the source of the right wing meme about drilling in the North Sea? As far as I’ve been aware, my entire adult life it’s been noted the fields are drying up and there’s not much left there unexplored, is there new information I’ve missed or is this just cargo cult Thatcherism “she did it so”

I’ve worked abroad my whole adult life and fairness, consistency, ability to bring family, straightforward path to permanent residency / citizenship are deal breakers. If the UK wants high skilled white collar workers then these all matter a lot

A tweet from the Daily Mail with a headline saying "Four biblical signs the world has entered the end of days as US bombs Iran
This perfectly illustrates my point that the British tabloids are aiming at a US audience. There like 5 people in the UK who think about this. But it is huge among US evangelicals.
British politicians need to ignore UK tabloids, as UK tabloids are talking to an audience in the US for clicks.

If Kamala would be president right now, I don't think the economy would be tanking from tariffs, the consumer protections wouldn't be diminished, the war in Iran would not happen and Renee Good as well as Alex Pretti would still be alive.
It's just an opinion of mine.

In the theatre, you should always leave them wanting more.
Unless it's an operating theatre.
And you're the anaesthetist.

Folks, I am about to express an opinion
I've had thoughts about it for a while and I'm finally ready to put it out there

Can the adults who write a swear word and replace one of the letters with an asterisk please stop?
Are you 5?
Is your audience comprised of 5 year olds?

'It takes more then a piece of paper to make someone British' well yes it does. It takes years and years, lengthty piss taking application forms, a test, qualifications, employment and £££££££. What did Goodwin do other than be born here?

People like Goodwin hate Britain. They want to drag it to antiquity because a backwards, discriminatory society is the only society they can thrive in. Without discrimination and disadvantage for others, they are nobodies

Ken Trodd was such a huge force in TV drama. He’ll be forever missed. Here he is about to tackle a Knickerbocker Glory at The Delaunay in May 2019.

Seeing @cowtoolsdaily.bsky.social posting about jokes, punchlines, and the explanation etc thereof, suggests that this is an excellent opportunity for me to share this video of me telling two jokes over the course of about ten minutes, and explaining why they are funny in *excruciating* detail...
