Does this look a good site for a solar farm to you?
Surely, siting a solar farm on Zone 3b flood plain is crazy but that's what's proposed at Creech St Michael, on the Somerset Levels.

We must protect nature to survive.
We can and must tackle the housing crisis.
If anyone tells you it's not possible to do both - then check any links with property developers...
What's morally reprehensible is pursuing destruction of the planning system for #CarDependentSprawl, destroying land vital for #FoodSecurity, #WaterSecurity, drainage, flood-control, biodiversity + increasing greenhouse gas emissions into the bargain.
Poverty needs #SocialRent homes, not sprawl.
But these various bumps & others add up to an almost complete disregard by govt for wildlife (& rural & countryside) which will cost Labour in future elections. Hope evaporating, confidence long gone. It will be a good time to be a LibDem or Green in rural seats with collapse of Conservatives too.
