06.03.2026 02:19 β π 94 π 28 π¬ 0 π 1Ah yes, cutting funding to Muslim groups because of a social media post by the far-right Australian Jewish Association. The textbook definition of social cohesion
04.03.2026 21:52 β π 320 π 150 π¬ 32 π 11I wish I had any idea what you were talking about.
04.03.2026 08:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0What are you talking about? People like you mocked those said Trump was a real threat in 2016, you donβt even know what case youβre trying to make.
04.03.2026 08:29 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This isnβt a response to anything Iβve said, and I assure you I donβt want the far right to win anything - I reckon Iβve both done more to try to stop it, and have more at stake, than you.
04.03.2026 07:44 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This is such a strange thing to post considering your entire feed is anti-Trump stuff. Where do you think he came from?

This guy is too funny man. The Labor government is only 1% away from falling into third place behind One Nation, but actually the poll is a disaster for the Coalition.
And believe it or not, heβs actually closer to reality than most Labor folk who still canβt accept the Hanson is coming for them.
Is new-er wife is, if anything, more right wing than him. (Not really countering your point, just an interesting data point)

We covered the reasons why Albanese is like this on our latest pod. It doesnβt require psychoanalysis imo. He has no moral/political centre, there is no serious left in Australia anymore and the media ecosystem is more right-wing than ever.
All of that pulls an operative like him in one direction
Now Ferguson is just quoting Netanyahu to the Israeli ambassador, so Israelβs line is being delivered by the guest and the host. What a debasement of a once vitally important and constructive program.

Sarah Ferguson is asking Albanese the same number of questions about Shia memorials in Australia commemorating Khamenei as she asked about the illegality of the war.
Why would Albanese *not* support illegal wars if this is the interrogation from the media class?
Other than Trump himself, Albanese is the most prolific cheerleader for this illegal war. Itβs what he is devoting this 7:30 interview to doing. Totally bizarre to throw yourself on the altar of Trump and Israel.

Albanese supported an illegal war with no clear objective or end. It's a grim new low

This is what the podcast is doing btw. Israel and Trump could not pay for propaganda this deferential.
01.03.2026 04:04 β π 60 π 7 π¬ 7 π 0The genius level minds ABC management sought out to host its flagship global affairs podcast. What does this even mean? I donβt even think she knows
01.03.2026 04:03 β π 101 π 12 π¬ 11 π 0If a politician had sparked a debate about whether there were βgood Jewsβ they, along with probably 100 journalists and editors reporting on it, would be arrested.

The Royal Commissionβs order for journalists to retain information has been reported β but I wanted to go a bit deeper.
I found the story of why any sentence that guaranteed source protect at the ABC was erased from policy over 15 years ago.

Good opportunity for a left-ish party in Australia to start talking about a republic. They need something to start a conversation and inject themselves into the discourse. A radical re-imagination of how the country is governed and a break from sex-trafficking elites seems a good place to start.

Even when journalists reference Hansonβs past comments on Muslims, they reach back to 2016. Why not just mention the case from 2025, that is currently in front of the High Court?
Surely the entire media industry isnβt unaware of the case? So whatβs the reason?
The federal government has also intervened in a High Court challenge to the judgement which questions its constitutionality. The case is likely being bankrolled by Gina Rinehart. Yet every media outlet has collectively decided none of this is relevant when reporting Hanson, Muslims or hate speech.
19.02.2026 03:50 β π 50 π 6 π¬ 2 π 1Whatβs the strategy from journalists and editors here? They know about the high profile case, and just donβt think itβs relevant despite the national debate over Muslims and hate speech? Or they donβt know about the high profile case involving the leader of Australiaβs second most popular party?
19.02.2026 03:44 β π 64 π 8 π¬ 1 π 0It was a case that found she had denigrated Muslims as well. Very odd it appears in none of the coverage of her remarks, and she has not been asked about it once in various interviews sheβs done this week.
19.02.2026 03:42 β π 72 π 13 π¬ 1 π 0Incredible how much the media has spent talking about hate speech laws and yet none of the thousands of articles on Hanson mention she recently was found by a federal court of breaching hate speech laws.

16.02.2026 23:13 β π 11 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0Very rarely do you get Australians to this openly admit how insular their engagement with cricket is. They spend their entire lives denying it, then just post it out.

Who cares if Australians watch it? What does that have to do with your contention it's an "afterthought on any tour"?
If you're saying it's only an afterthought for Australians, then yes you are correct and we agree!
I think you just don't have any visibility over how media in India/Pak/Sri Lanka, for example, is covering it, or how fans are reacting. That's fine, but don't double down and pretend like you do.
16.02.2026 23:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You're now just talking about different things. I already said I don't even like the format, you're just proving the point of how insular Australian cricket fans are if you can't acknowledge that this is quite big everywhere else.
16.02.2026 23:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It's an afterthought nowhere but in Australia, because of the insularity described above. It's breaking ratings records in India and is the biggest cultural talking point in the world in South Asia. There's a world beyond this tiny country.
