My husband and I are traveling across country so will miss #nokings rally home. But we stopped and visited one along the way.

Today, in the face of Trump’s attacks on our schools and communities, Mayor Brandon Johnson has proposed a historic $1 billion TIF surplus in his 2026 “Protect Chicago” budget.

Now City Council must meet the moment and vote YES to fund our schools.

This is Chicago’s tradition of solidarity.

I got all the vaccines I was supposed to and so did my baby but she got whooping cough when she was a new infant. So very scary. I still the remember the sound of her gasping desperately for breath. She is 22 now and healthy but those weeks were terrifying.

I had this thought when reading too. Very Trump like - but even then saw the hope in the fact that all tyrants are the same and all eventually fall. Loved that it was a child that brought him down. Crows and cats but also children are wise and we should listen to them.

I bet the ziplock refers to reclosable bags more than the actual brand. Some sandwich bags have the fold over close thing and those aren’t helpful in the classroom.

Just watched one video of police walking an elderly veteran in handcuffs away from a protest against the military parade followed by a video of Pete Buttigieg talking about delivering a flag to family of a soldier who died in the line of duty. The dissonance is jarring.

What’s the difference between these 2 charts? They title and labeling say the same thing.

This is helpful to hear in the sense that it grounds me in the fact that not everyone is against what’s happening in LA. I’m not on any other social media so reading responses here can give me a skewed perspective on where everyone stands.
