I agree. Differences of opinion that are kept respectful, will help keep this X alternative from becoming an echo chamber. For example, I am not an anti-vaxxer, but the medical community dug its own grave by over promising and under delivering, and allowing Big Pharm too much control/influence.

I’m referring to his ego, and the narrative shifting to the legacy he wants for the Trump brand, post-presidency. He’s such a narcissist that if he sees his base begin to reject him because tariffs are hypercharging inflation, he may just do a 180 to save face. There may be no King Trump, after all.

I’m also leaning in that direction, but being a newshound fascinated by US politics, that will be a hard habit to break.

I’m not saying this will happen, but in The Philippines, where Marcos Jr. became president, there were also doom/gloom fears after chaos from Duterte’s term. But he’s been better than expected. I’m hopeful if economy tanks & inflation continues, that will force Trump to adjust as his legacy teeters.

Oh, I am no anti-vaxxer but I know the medical community undermined itself by not being honest enough about what it knows, what it doesn’t, and that came to a head during Covid. Now fake news and an anti vaxxer is poised to do real damage south of the border. Yikes!
